Bournemouth Jewish Support Services (BJSS), a registered Charity, aims to offer appropriate, confidential support and advice to members of the Jewish Community across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and wider districts, who are in need of charitable support.
All of our Services are provided by trained, DBS-checked volunteers and include:

Visiting people at home, in hospital and in care homes

Befriending people who are lonely or isolated

Supporting shopping needs (particularly Kosher food)

Escorting people to attend activities and appointments

Helping with correspondence

Providing guidance regarding Housing issues

Assisting with Benefit applications and claims, such as Attendance Allowance and Blue Badge applications

Assisting people to claim the State Benefits to which they are entitled

Supporting those with disabilities to attend places of worship

Providing access to activities such as community lunch clubs, arts and crafts, Israeli dancing, table tennis, bridge and computer training

Obtaining and providing grants for eligible individuals
